No, the Sony ZV-E1 body costs around 2,100€ (street price) instead of the 1.699€ list price of the S9. I am sure the street price will be less than 1.699€

I think with a 26/f8 lens, it is better used as a travel camera for landscape and city shots. But for this it will beat every smartphone.
 
Well, I have to say that I really like the styling of the S9. It looks really cool. The minimalist approach gives it an elegant appeal.

And while initially I didn't think I would buy such a camera, I do still have a GX85 that I keep for light-weight walkaround use. It's now 8 years old and it seems that Panasonic may not make another small MFT camera, so the S9 could be a good replacement, and I've already got L-mount lenses. Winner!

At least in terms of sensor capabilities it looks like nothing has been gimped and we are getting the full feature-set of the S5ii sensor in a smaller package. Open Gate 6K, up to 120fps, and so on. Now all I need is an actual shipment date for the product. Hopefully still in May.

Yeah sure to be a good little camera. Hopefully it's weather sealed. At $1200 the r8 is going to be a tough competition.

Price (body only) for Switzerland seems to be 1649 CHF. But the delivery date is mid June :( I hope that's just a Switzerland thing and bigger countries like Germany will get it earlier.

Also interesting bundle options: You get the body for 1649 CHF, the body + 20 - 60 for 1949 or the body + 20 - 60 + 28/F8 for... also 1949. So looks like the 26/F8 could be free but only with some bundles? Would be a shame, I don't really need the 20 - 60 but I wouldn't mind a freebie 28/F8...
