That's why I use a polariser. Good raptor, I mean capture. I'm not sure I like these birds as they target garden songbirds and I've been watching too many YouTube videos of raptors ripping birds apart alive, I suppose that's nature :oops:

In Ireland I've only ever seen Kestrals in rural areas and buzzards in the city including seeing large seagulls attacking them and chasing them away, presumably it is was fledgling season.

Yeah well, sometimes you don't always have sufficient time to grab a camera, change lenses, and get to a window to capture a shot of these awesome birds. YMMV.
And yes, we live in a very rural, hilly area and that is life around here. :cool:

I'm sure the biggest threat to garden birds is humans, and their cuddly kitties!

Columbia, once known as the "Gem of the Southern Mines, is a living gold rush town featuring the largest collection of gold-rush-era brick buildings in California.
Was it there I seen in a documentary that it has a radioactive cave/mine that people visit for health therapy? Maybe I'm getting mixed up with some cold war history?

Amazing buildings. I love the one of the old swimming baths especially.
