And the Wichita Lineman
Is still on the line.

Such a great song, and your shot evokes it perfectly!

I thank you very much for your kind words. :) But there are other spots on the Wichita Drive that I think might fit better...

It's that time of the year again for my favorite annual car show. Absolutely love it, go every year if I'm in the country. Shot with my adapted El Cheapo EF 40mm pancake. Mostly wide open. It has a little bit of magic about it, that tiny little lens.

If you like the song you should track down a copy of REM's version (I think it's a live performance). It's definitely the best version of the song.

I agree on the 40mm judging by that first shot - sharp and contrasty with just enough shallow depth of field to throw the background slightly out of focus.

Yeah, I think that if they're going to make something, 40mm would be the focal length to do it. 43mm is just too close to the already existing Sigma 45mm, and you'd want to maximise sales potential.

Oh, I'll take issue with that... I'd take James Taylor's cover (2007) or Johnny Cash's (2002) over REM's cover any day. Ray Charles did a pretty excellent cover, as well.

Of course, the original is as good as it gets.
