The Best L-Mount Lens I Own !

Now, a lens that came in a close second was the Sigma 45mm 2.8 but...I simply don't put it on the camera bodies a lot. Can't even tell you why, I just don't. Now the lens that I have yet to take off the mount since I purchased it, and in my opinion...is one of the best lenses available for L-Mount, is the Samyang 35-150mm. I love this thing lol. It has never let me down, whether its photo or video, it just gets it done, complete tank. Manual focus, auto-focus, it does not matter...it locks on and executes. Did a firmware update on it recently and I noticed, once you press record for video, the stabilization on the lens gets even better. Not sure what that is about but, I use this thing in AUTO-focus for video a lot...and I have no complaints. Anyway, check out the vid below, there are BOTH photo AND video in the clip. Looks great! Thanks for posting. The Samyang renders really nicely but it's quite heavy! How have you found using this weight handheld?

I have the Sigma 45mm and love it, but my most used lens is the LUMIX 24-150mm which is heavy enough for me.

Thanks for the review. There are some fairly negative reviews (BH Photo) which suggest that quality control is an issue and customer service is poor. YMMV

I've no experience with Samyang's more recent lenses, but I had a m43 fisheye that they made about 10 years ago. It was decent enough, but actually not great build quality.

From what I have read, you do need to test it well. Of course, that’s true of any lens, but Samyang historically has a reputation for spotty QA. Not sure if it’s still well deserved.

BTW, this lens is on sale for $999 right now at the major (US) outlets. Which is pretty amazing.
