Which lenses are you missing?

If the 24-105/4 was smaller and much lighter I would never have bought the 28-200 and 24-60. My standard vacation kit now is those 2 lenses and the 16-35. But what if they made a small 24-200/3.5-5.6 OIS @450 grams. With the picture quality of the 24-60 or 16-35 hmm
I’m not sure if the 24-105/4 will ever be “much lighter.” The Nikkor 24-120 is only 60 grams lighter than our 24-105. And it does not have OIS (yet more evidence that the most recent generation of IBIS is better at longer focal lengths?).

Of course, it’s got an extra 15mm on the long end. So yeah, maybe a redesigned 24-105/4 could be 100g lighter than the current 24-105/4? Maybe 150g lighter without OIS? Just guessing here.

But, a variable aperture version can indeed be much lighter - again evidencing Nikon’s latest - but then we get into questions about a metal mount, IQ, etc.
