A different view of Mt. Hood (in the distance). Taken from the south side of Portland's Tilikum Crossing Bridge, looking east ...

... but if you turn to your right, and look south, the view is a bit nicer.

Hah!

Yes, this reminds me of some other views I’ve seen… like the industrial buildings you can see visible through the St Louis Arch. :)

Yesterday went to the Dutch museum of aviation. My dad used to work on these:

For Pete_W: A train from the Oregon Rail Heritage Center museum rolling through Portland's Oaks Bottom Park. It's a very short but fun train ride; in Summertime they hook on at least one open car for passengers.

A duck (possibly an immature wood duck?) in the muddy lake at Oaks Bottom (let me know if it's a different species). An American Eagle flew overhead, but I didn't get a good photo.

These were from a few nights ago, when Venus and Jupiter were nicely arranged around the moon at blue hour. It was a pretty incredible night and the proper sunset - a bit earlier than these shots - was amazing as well.

These were both hand-held, although for the 2s shot, I was seated and braced my elbows. I decided to try Capture One’s de-noise capabilities on these shots - despite their low ISO - and it removed that small amount of noise in the sky you can see in shots like these - when you zoom in to 200% - pretty much perfectly.

In this first shot, you can only see Jupiter:

This second shot (not 65:24; sorry) you can see Venus up & to the left as well.
