What's half as good as 65:24? "65:12"! Z04 Flucht

More Autumn colors along the Willamette River, a couple of miles south of downtown Portland, Oregon.

More practicing with my new Lumix S 70-300mm lens. Note: These are 65:12 (not 65:24) crops.

The wide shot is a full-width crop of a 24MP frame (6,000 pixels wide) at 70mm. The bridge in the center is about 6 miles away.

The close-up is a full-width crop of a 96MP hi-res frame (12,000 pixels wide) at 300mm. You can read the letters "Union Pacific" on the brick chimney on the left side of the bridge. And a bit further to the left, the letters "Kaiser Permanente" are legible on the large white hospital building. (I don't know why the EXIF data doesn't appear for the 300mm shot.)

And shot handheld. Fun!

Funny: when I shot the bridge as a PDX resident, mine were taken from the small park at the far left of your HR image. It took me a minute to orient myself, same bridge but different
