I'm still interested to know where BMD comes with... IF they would add autofocus to their cameras...I agree. Seems nothing to happen at NAB.

BM already has a full frame 12k camera, the ursa cine 12k LF. It has a 98.8 Mpix Sensor which is capable of 80 fps in 16 bit. That would be a nice sensor for photography as well.12k L-mount camera coming

Yes, but that camera is in a different price-bracket. Pyxis cameras however ... Might even be in the S1Rii range...BM already has a full frame 12k camera, the ursa cine 12k LF. It has a 98.8 Mpix Sensor which is capable of 80 fps in 16 bit. That would be a nice sensor for photography as well.
Yes, off course. But still.Yes, but that camera is in a different price-bracket. Pyxis cameras however ... Might even be in the S1Rii range...
I don't know if you overdoing the influence of the tariffs. After the bad news regarding tariffs, I doubt that there will be a new camera announced in April.
I think they will wait and discus internally, whether that camera (no matter what it is) makes sense at all at the moment with these trade wars and if yes, at which price.
But in the short run, I think announcements and releases could be delayed, because the manufacturers have to do the pricing right
This.... Maybe there will be a black market of camera gear snuck in over the border from Canada or Mexico.
Unfortunately, if it's like other grey market resellers, there's an excellent chance you won't get service and support or even a warranty.This.
Yes, that's correct. This is true of most grey/smuggled gear. Depending on how the $ works out, many folks will go this route regardless. Personally I don't recommend it, but as always YMMV.Unfortunately, if it's like other grey market resellers, there's an excellent chance you won't get service and support or even a warranty.
If it's a box camera I might be interested. Otherwise probably not. This will be more my cup of tea I presume
I understand FX3 style. That would be very interesting for me. Small enough to carry with me and not shouting "I'm filming in very high quality". Makes it easier in musea. If it's a box camera I might be interested. Otherwise probably not.
I was thinking more like the Lumix BS1H, a box camera I could rig up as a very capable video camera. The FX3 style is not too interesting to meI understand FX3 style. That would be very interesting for me.
I have the impression that attacking Lumix is free, so I'm already waiting for the criticism of this new camera type: rolling shutter, overheating, lack of EVF, etc. This will be more my cup of tea I presume

I've been thinking about that recently, trying to understand why it is that Panasonic attracts such a pile-on like no other brand.I have the impression that attacking Lumix is free, so I'm already waiting for the criticism of this new camera type: rolling shutter, overheating, lack of EVF, etc.![]()
