I asked this question in a german live chat before (foto koch) and there they said it definitely offers live compInterestingly, it seems that there is no Live Comp on the S1Rii (yet).

Fantastic. I assume they learned their lesson with the S5II.I asked this question in a german live chat before (foto koch) and there they said it definitely offers live comp
Phew! I was worried about that!I asked this question in a german live chat before (foto koch) and there they said it definitely offers live comp
When you watch Gordon Laings Video, you can see the live composite mode in the manu.Phew! I was worried about that!
I once had an online photographer friend who invited me there but I'd rather go in the summer. I believe it's the most northern university town in the world and the only one inside the arctic circle.Surprised that Lumix choose Norway for the S1Rii release. Well, Tromsø is the town in the middle of our planet. Sort of. The new S1Rii is a really exciting pro-thing. Regards, Ermesjo (Norwegian) and a newbee S5iiX user (exit Canon).
I imagine they'll bring such out along with continued AF improvements along with S5ii and later G series M43 cameras that use this L2 processor. After watching a view initial reviews I think the S1RII is a great camera. But there is still some room for improvements. For example, I would find some in between frame rates in burst between 10 fps mechanical and 40 fps electronic shutter handy. Especially because the buffer doesn't last long. A 20 fps option would be very useful and easy to implement via software update. Maybe someone with contacts to Panasonic (@Richard Wong ) could tell them.
This will come in a future update according to one of the youtube reviews. 20fps.I would find some in between frame rates in burst between 10 fps mechanical and 40 fps electronic shutter handy.
That's fantastic. Frankly, the buffer gets overrun far too quickly at 40 fps. And, yes, on average, I wouldn't want that many images. This will come in a future update according to one of the youtube reviews. 20fps.

Absolutely fantastic review @Richard Wong . A masterpiece! I can see this camera heading my way sooner or later!
I agree. I donated. Please everybody, donate to Richard on his YT channel if you like his videos.
He also showed warping in stills mode, again due to the sensor readout speed & ES.Just watched Gordon Laings review.
The uncropped electronic stabilisation is very impressive, I'd like that in the next S5ii update. And the ability to use your phone as a monitor tethered via cable as opposed to wifi version is very useful, that could somewhat compensate for the more functional screen the S5ii doesn't have, only flippy.
Gordo shows the rolling shutter too, it looks similar or maybe just marginally better than S5ii from memory. I was kind of surprised at this one but it seems that stacking/global is still required, I was probably expecting too much.
ProRes internal up to 1.6Gb/s so your 320GB CF card lasts for 3m 20sec
I do like the rear screen a lot after seeing it in detail, I'd definitely swap the flippy for that and hoping next firmware brings it also.
