Panasonic Lumix S 70-300/4.5-5.6 on a 40/60MP sensor?

Hi Dirk,
I am very happy with my copy and my Lumix S1R. I use it for landscape, portrait mainly. I like the range very much and the fact that it is not too heavy (800 grammes - ish). It is a very versatile lens.
It is plenty sharp though you do have to stop it down at 300mm to get the best results (F8 at 300mm is sharp enough - for me at least!). Here are a few examples below (hope I pasted the links properly!)
