Thank you! That Sigma does quite well if you stop it down to F8, although it does fine wide-open as well.

And yes, the S1RII is truly an amazing camera. I think these new S1s are going to bring in a whole bunch of new shooters.

Thank you,, John, I like your serie about Amsterdam. The use of LUTs is really convenient. I did not know the Moco Museum. I understand it is about Modern and Contemporary art, right? Next time in Amsterdam I will visit it for sure (I know the Rijks, Stedelij, Van Gogh, Rembrandt Huis and the Cobra Museum in Amstelveen, but I did not know about the Moco, thank you!!).

You almost have been to more musea in the Netherlands than I did Z04 Kaputtlachen

I understand there are also Moco musea in London and Barcelona
 
So @xaviergut do you also like bananas taped to a wall kind of art? As a kid my parents often bought Museum Cards, so I’ve been to lot of museums as well :-). I like the old masters, not the banana tapers.

Yes, my parents were painters. I visited a lot of museums in my life. Now I work in the contemporary art branch, this is the reason I visited so many museums in Amsterdam.

Hahahaha I prefer old masters too. ESpecially Dutch ones, like Rembrandt, Van Dyck, Rubens, but my favourite is Vermeer.

Not with Sigma I suppose Z04 Flucht But finding stuff for galleries etc? And then sneak in some art pictures by your self too!
 
In May I usually go up the road a ways to the Los Angeles Natural Area and take some pictures of the Yucca plants in bloom. They can grow pretty tall here, maybe eight feet. But this is not a good year for California wildflowers in general, and the Yuccas are not at their best. Nevertheless here are a few shots.

There were a few cactus in bloom today. Bees love these blooms and they dive into the pollen beds.

The Pacific Crest Trail passes through the Natural Area. This trail goes from the Mexican border at the south to the Canadian border at the north. It is a busy time of the year as schools are letting out and students find the time to hike the trail with friends. Everyone goes different distances along this 2661 mile trail. A typical student here might hike to Mile 767 and then climb Mt. Whitney (the highest peak in the lower 48 states).

The Nelson doesn't have a lot of Dutch, but it has a few; a couple of Rembrandts, but more of the lesser-known ones like Hendrik van Vliet:
