Rumors Lumix S9 vs rumored Fuji XM5

we have in German the same phrase (weder Fisch noch Fleisch).

In dutch we say: 'vlees noch vis'...
Way off topic, but I'm really trying hard to improve my French at the moment and I've been listening to a really great Podcast ("Apprendre les proverbes avec Julien et Julien") which has over 100 episodes covering lots of French proverbes. It's interesting to see how many are basically the same as the English versions, but with a French twist. Others are just very French - I particularly like "Quand le vin est tiré, il faut le boire". Je suis vraiment d'accord!

My intention with this thread was only to show, that other brands hop on the "creator" wagon too. But as expected, noone is criticizing Fuji not to include an EVF - But they did with the S9. Z04 Haudrauf
Exactly! I just watched the Petapixel / Chris & Jordan review of the X-M5. Lots of praise as you'd expect. They seemed to understand the context of the camera. Yet they didn't with the S9 which to them was "baffling". Very inconsistent.

The video AF looked bad on the X-M5 (hunting on Jordan's face while he walked and he was right in the middle of the frame) and the lack of IBIS was very noticeable.

That is 673€. Way cheaper than the official price in Germany of 900€ without a lens.

But you can see already in the X-M5 videos, that it is made with cheaper material. You can not achieve a weight below 400g with more solid matrial. The Lumix S9 weights 483g and feels good. Not as solid as the S5ii, but good enough. But I had the same problems as with the X-M5 also with the Fuj X100V. For that price, the material felt too cheap.

If you are not a content creator and you only want to do photography and you are looking for something really small with high image quality and APS-C sensor, only the Ricoh GR3 and GR3x fullfill these requirements.
