I changed my order on Thursday, not that it matters as the 70-300 isn't stocked either but I'm glad it was delayed i.e. the unwanted 85mm f1.8 door stop got cancelled
Can they get you the S5ii + 24-105 at least with the 70-300 to follow?

I bought that PK-L adapter but no camera. I gave up the idea of trying to use the Pentax F*300 f4.5 on the S5ii and ordered the S 70-300 f4.5-f5.6 after seeing the lightning fast AF and the image quality. I got it for £699 along with the S5ii 24-104 f4 deal. It only weighs 780g and is apparently not front heavy and doesn't need a tripod mount. So now I'll own 2x 1:2 Macro capable lenses and 300mm 1:2 Macro is nice for keeping distance at 74cm closest focus. I hated not being able to do this with my DA* 60-250 and F*300!

The PK-L adapter can be used for the MF Samyang 14mm f2.8 and I think I'll be selling more of the legacy lenses unless I am going to use them. I'll try the F*300 f4.5 before letting it go.

I remember lusting after the PK Tamron 70-200 f2.8 all those years ago, the older one than yours... :)

If you get the EF version of that Tamron and an adapter then you'd be able to use it on the S5 most likely. It would be a much cheaper option than a native 70-200/28 albeit not without disadvantages.

Here's another from the Tamron 70-210/4 on the S5

Nice, some very nicely priced Canon EFL lenses on Ebay and apparently the AF is decent on S5ii depending on lens.
I actually am trying to sell this one. I just have a cheap dumb adapter on it. I sold my EF body but still need to offload a lens or two. It's a nice lens for sure, but I've got my eye on the sigma 100-400 and 65 f2(or Lumix 85), so I'm hoping to sell it off and my Olympus em5mkii + 17mm to help bankroll a lens.

Blue-tongued skink. Sun baking in my back yard this morning.
Nice picture. I saw a Bluey while doing a little hiking in Australia last year. I had no idea what it was, but a local guy knew right away.

Yes, they're reasonably common in the bush but can be found in the leafier suburbs.

Really, they are in England?
Sorry Pete, in my horrible hangover I mixed you up with Paul

That strong sun and the colour didn't look like England in February too much either!

You might find them in pet shops though, I seen my solicitor walking iguanas on a leash (like a dog) in a park in Belfast. I couldn't believe my eyes but on meeting her again she has an iguana rescue centre type thing for a hobby.

Ah, understood! No problem.

Wow, a solicitor walking an iguana is really out there! Ha ha!

The Canon 70-200mm f/4 L was a lens I considered recently before finally going with the Tamron mainly because it's a more modern design that I could expect to be sharper. I'm not sure how happy I'd be using it on a dumb adapter though.

Here's another from that Tamron, a nice sunrise last week

And a shot with the Canon 50/1.8 STM which so I'm finding to be very good indeed, even wide open. Despite being on an adpater it's still my smallest and lightest full-auto 50mm option on the S5.
