We might still be missing another Lumix camera...

Long story short: the usual rumor site had posted a list of registered but not announced cameras by Panasonic back in March.
This left us with 4 cameras that were registered but not announced. As of today, we have received 3 new Panasonic cameras: the S1RII, S1II and S1IIe. Which leaves us with one registered but unannounced camera. Is it the mythical S1HII? Or is it maybe the "original" S1RII (with the 60mp A7V/SL3, Q3 sensor) where one rumor was that Pana had the camera ready to go and then decided to switch sensors giving us the S1RII.

What does everyone think?

My wild guess is either a sub 1600€ camera with EVF and less video capabilities (=less cooling required, cheaper sensor) or a S1HII above 5.000€

Yes, something with a high-resolution fully stacked sensor (and various other enhancements, like a large buffer and better thermal management) would round out the lineup quite nicely.

But then so would a rangefinder-ish body. Something to compete with the a7C.

Yes, that would be really cool. Of course I oly think at my own desire for a RF style camera :)

The A7c was launched for 2.100€ in 2020. Street price is now at 1.700€. A Lumix camera in that price range (more towards 1700) would be great. But some features have to be fall off the table to offer it that cheap and keep it small.

...
But one of them might be the p2303a, registered back in late 2023. That's one and a half year ago. The S1RII is the p2307a. I don't know about the two others. I also don't know how the registration procedure and how the fees for registration are. It could be a already cancelled model, maybe the 61 Mpix version of the S1RII. It also could be one of the latest announcements. Or a unannounced model of course.

I personally think a S1HII will come later that year or early next year. But it could be that it's not registered yet. I don't know.
