Viltrox has dropped a teaser for an announcement on September first. The teaser is a big hint to the L alliance.

Hopefully they will release many of their lenses for L-Mount in a foreseeable amount of time. Samyang was very disappointing to this point.

I guess we all have our own needs/wants, but a pancake is not high on my list. I'd love a decent 24-200 though.

Fred Miranda mentioned on his portal in the topic "Voigtlander color skopar 28/28 vm" that a decent alternative to this lens will be released very soon. Apparently he's already tested it, but he can't say or show anything before the announcement.

After watching Richard's review and for only $100 I HAD to order this for my Sony A6700! The A6700 is a small APSC camera, and the effective focal length with this lens is 42mm. This camera and lens combo is small enough to fit in my pocket, the focal focal length is good for general photography, and I've been snapping shots of everything around this past day. So far I'm a happy customer. Negatives, with the fixed f/4.5 aperture there are times I'd like a smaller aperture, and manual focus capability would be nice; but for the small size I can live with this. It won't win a super high sharpness contest, but on the other hand it is pretty good.

About the possibility of having this 28mm pancake lens for Lumix full frame cameras, compared to the Lumix S f/8 26mm fixed focus lens it has autofocus which is a big advantage. And the VILTROX 28mm is quite a bit smaller than the Lumix lens. I can see it being a nice fit with the S9.
