Sigma Art discounts starting today

When I first got my S5 there were discounts from Sigma virtually all the time and they'd cycle through different classes of lenses - a couple of months of discounts on most Contemporary lenses, immediately followed by discounts on a few Art lenses and so on but always offers. I was lucky to get all of my Sigma lenses at a discount. But that hasn't been the case for at least the last year, I imagine due to tariffs and inflation etc.

I just got a mail from the local Spanish Sigma distributor about discounts on four Art lenses. You can see the details in the below link (the page is in Spanish but numbers are numbers). I imagine these discounts will apply to the UK and other European countries too.

Yes, in Austria too, with the same lenses:

These are very good prices. I wonder whether Sigma is planning to release a new 35/1.4 and 85/1.4.

The new 35/1.2 Mkii is so small now, that the difference is not that big anymore to the 35/1.4. Maybe they have found a way to make the F1.4 Art lenses smaller & lighter too?

I still dream of a 28/2.0 i-series though. Would be a perfect fit for the Lumix S9 and Sigma BF.

The 35 and 84 1.4s are on the old side I think but are very well regarded and perhaps reducing size and weight are the only real ways to make them substantially better.

I have both and I love both. Very good image quality. But obviously on the bigger/heavier side.

If Sigma would release a Mark ii version of these two lenses, which would be significantly lighter and smaller, I would be tempted. But only because of size and weight. I do not need better image quality.
