Sigma 90mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary (I-Series)

Would love to see some more shots from this lens if you have them!

I've only added some favourites here but you can see all the shots in the Flickr album: https://www.flickr.com/photos/jonathandmacdonald/albums/72177720300212294

Longer focal lengths like this aren't something I use a lot, so there aren't a lot of shots, but even for occasional use a short telephoto is a must-have. I'll add that I've used this for my daughters' school end-of-term presentations and some gymnastics performances by my niece, which aren't published online, but it's been a superb performer for them. In those situations a faster aperture would have been nice because there's typically fairly low light and subject movement so I might add the Lumix 85/1.8 at some point in the future.

I really appreciate the size and performance of the Sig 90 as I'm most comfortable with longer focal lengths.

The Sigma 90/2.8 DG DN is again a jewel within Sigma's i-series. It has a beautifil rendering for prortraits but is at the same time very, very sharp. Not clinical sharp as the Sigma 65mm. Very good for skin tones. And it is very small and light. Already at F2.8 an excellent perfomer, but for close up portraits you need at least F4, to get the nose and the eyes in the DOF :)

With a 100% crop yuo can see that it will easily server also a 60MP sensor. Together with the Sigma 50/2.0 and 35/2.0 a "must have" for fans of FFL.
