This is the Kanimbla Valley in New South Wales, taken from Mount Blackheath in the Blue Mountains.

Here's another photo from my recent trip to the Blue Mountains. This one was taken at the lookout at Echo Point near the township of Katoomba.

The view is of the Jamison Valley which is part of the Coxs River canyon, part of the Blue Mountains National Park. The rock formation at the left is known as 'The Three Sisters' and the mountain in the centre is Mount Solitary.

Those are both beautiful settings. Wish I had run across something like that lately. :)

Strong City's a small town in rural Kansas, but it has some cool old architecture.

That looks like a very cool place!

The Standard gas station sign reminded me of the Amoco signs that we used to have here in Australia. Did some Googling and see it was the same company although now owned by BP. We still have BP outlets here but there's been no Amoco for many years.

Yup. Standard became Amoco, which was later bought by BP.
Almost all of the Amoco signs are now gone, but there’s at least one left: https://blog.stlouisbank.com/why-is-there-a-giant-amoco-sign-in-st-louis/
I’ve seen it driving on the highway, but never had time to stop and get pics; one of these days I want to.

I love that big sign! Very cool.

I always liked the Amoco logo and some of the other long-gone signs. They remind me of my youth! There was a recent rebrand in Australia with all Caltex gas stations rebranding to Ampol which was a long-gone brand. That was cool.

Couple more pics of the station:

Girona Spain, goldencity

Video a shot in Girona, a beautiful city in Spain, with the S5iiX, the 20-60mm and some with the 50mm. All shot in V-Log, colorgraded in Davinci Resolve.

The drone footage is stock footage because you are not easily allowed to drone there due to a airport in close vicinity.

Love those photos Jonathan!

11-11 is St Maarten in the Netherlands, Dutch tradition when children go sing st Maarten songs at houses with self made lampion and get candy. Perfect opportunity to test out my s5ii and 85. P1010970_DxO.jpeg

Sigma fp, Vivitar 28.2.5 (Kiron)

Back when I was growing up in the 70s, our family used to take a lot of road trips in the US West/Midwest, and I remember these rest stop picnic tables being pretty common; it's a classic mid-century modern design, with the pagoda roof and textured dividing wall.

Anyone else remember these?

I took this a couple of nights ago when I set out with the intention of trying to shoot some star trails. Having set the camera up it became clear that what I thought was light pollution from the local recycling plant was actually something a bit more exciting. I got a couple of record shots of the Aurora but high clouds soon meant a lack of definition even though the colours showed through so I thought I'd try a silhouette of this fabulous beech tree. Taken with the original S5 and Sigma 24-70 f2.8 Art
