New firmware is coming

Hmm... is that focus stacking feature a new announcement? I don't remember reading about it during the S1II announcement. Wondering if it's in-camera or not.
Richard Wong covers this in his review. It is in-camera, jpeg only.

for photographers with S1RII, the new firmware brings you:
- In-camera Focus Stacking (JPG only)
- Wireless Tethering with Capture One
- HEIF output
- Multi-frame markers
- Urban Sports AF detection
- AF box colour change
- File transfer to SSD
- MF ring update (reverse direction, user assignable feature)

There is also Webcam UVC/UAC support

I only installed and played around for a few minutes on my S1RII before work called. Seems a decent update so faro. I just played around with HEIF photo which worked nicely but Pana doesn't seem to have any LUTs available for it for now and I didn't have time to whip up something myself. Operational speed etc. seems unchanged - which is good, considering what a major update this is. Can't wait to back home and test out the 8K.

Upgraded my S1Rii. It all went smoothly.

Focus stacking works very well!

The ability to use the focus ring is very helpful in M mode + Auto ISO since it gives a dial to which I can assign exposure comp. A nice upgrade.
