Spring is just around the corner in the northern hemisphere, and autumn beckons in the south. So, lots of opportunities to exercise our L mount gear and post the results here. But usual rules apply, so feel free to post images taken earlier - the only constraint is that the image should be taken with an L mount camera (and lens, obviously!). I’m off the Scotland next week so hope to have some images to share from there.

Here’s an image from the end of Feb to kick us off. Just a nice morning sky shot of the field behind our house. S1R with 24-105:

These are fairly small lumps in the ground (max elevation about 1400'), but with a bit of white stuff on the top and a long perspective, you can imagine them as being much bigger!

Two photos taken with the S5M2 from a lookout on the Illawarra escarpment looking towards the city of Wollongong and the Pacific Ocean.

The first is with the LUMIX 14-28 at 14mm while the second is with the 70-300 at 70mm.

And the reason I was up at the lookout: to capture a heritage train that was passing through. This was taken with the 70-300 at 300mm.

Very nice Pete. That shot at 300mm looks like good.

This patch of nature "Reestdal", <10 minutes by car north from our small town, has a lot of them. That farmhouse Is very typical in this part of the Netherlands. Once when there were hardly any storks left and they opened a sanctuary. Now they are flourishing, in the field I could easily spot 6 or 7 foraging together. That tiny small brown creek is part of the border of two provinces

I posted an aerial photo of this heritage train earlier in the monthly thread. Here is a shot taken further up the line at Heathcote.

The steam locomotive was built in 1901.

Here is another of the heritage train I followed last weekend. It ran from Sydney down the Illawarra line to Wollongong.

I cropped this photo a more square shape to remove some distracting stanchions and line-side signage.
