I definitely watched too many YT reviews. I will not do this anymore next time.

In one of them the reviewer mentioned that the Lumix S1Rii would have the same dynamic range and noise at base ISO like the Lumix S5ii and very similar als at higher ISO.

Did you find similar statements in the reviews you have seen so far?

I think Richard's video looks into that, but I don't recall the outcome.

And, don't apologize for all the review posts! I've found them to be very useful. Thanks for taking the time.

Richard's conclusion after pushing base ISO images from both by *7* stops in post is that the S1RII's DR is "almost as good" as the S5II. And, a little better than the Sony a7RV. And much better thanthe S1R.

Similar conclusion for extreme ISO shots.

Damn... Z04 Menno

We can not continue like this. Z04 Nein1

We have to do more research to find flaws with the S1Rii. Give me arguments not to buy it... Z04 Motzer

There have to be flaws.... go and find them...

I still struggle a bit with the slower-than-Z8 readout. But I'm a Landscaper first, an astro-nerd second, and a wildlifer third, so I'll probably stay L-mount and get the S1RII.
