There are no mind blowing improvements from a Nikon D800/ D850 to Nikon Z8. Or Sony A7R IV to V.

True, BUT there are much better sensors out there.

Is it feasible now for a S1Hii? Perhaps not (yet), very fast storage is also a thing with a camera like this, would still make everything still to expensive.

But than the sensor of the DJI Ronin-4D 8K
Still can shoot 8K in 75FPS in ProRes Raw, theire is also a cheaper 6K sensor from them. But still with much better specs than the current S5ii(X), Z8, Sony A7R IV/V...

I did not complain of the image quality. I am pretty satisfied with the image quality of the S1R.

My point was about the package and this is my concern. If Panasonic stays from a pricing point of view as with the original S1R the competing products are the R5ii and Z8.
Both cameras have a very good image quality but are much fast shooting cameras with features like Pro Capture etc.
For me one selling point for full frame Panasonic was the in body processing features like high resolution mode, time lapse, live composition (sad that the S1R did not had that feature), 6k photo mode....

I fear, that it feels to me like a big upcoming disappointment because I really like the system and idea features of the L Mount system. In addition the lenses are really good and I have for me the perfect set of lenses.

At what price this will be? Are 99% of the normal photographers willing to pay the price tag for this?

It is not always only a question of technical possibiliies. It is also the question whether it is worth it in real life for most users and the price they are forced to pay for that difference compared to cheaper solutions.

I do not know the answer to these questions. But I try to manage the expectations.

O I totally agree with that, will for 99% sure be to expensive for me (now, you would never now second hand in a few years).

But as people where talking about a flagship camera, and not the S1R because that will for 99% sure have the Same sensor as the Leica, I was thinking a replacement for the S1H...

And to be honest, IF DJI would make a mirrorless camera for a reasonable price for L-mount, I would be very interested, like many.

Panasonic, but also Sony, Nikon and Canon might than have a BIG problem.

I camera i spoke before about, the BMD Ursa Cine 12K has the sensor which I would love to work with, but I expect still much to expensive for Panasonic to use.

However, i found it still very interesting to see this video, from very knowledgeable people:

That sensor is really interesting. 15k for that camera is a hurdle, but the storage cards for all these pro cameras are even more crazy. I never knew that 8TB storage can cost you 32k.

I stay with photography I think...

As much as I appreciate Black Magic, I don't know of any major filmmakers that use their cameras. So I don't know their market penetration, or who uses them. As example I know a mid-range filmmaker who is just now buying several new cameras, and he is getting Raptors. Early on I recall Blackmagic had a poor reputation for reliability, and for not working out all the bugs before production. I think they are probably well past all this, but any smell of poor reliability will instantly scare off filmmakers. I do hope they ultimately become very successful with these cameras; the technology is amazing.
