It looks like a small new camera might be coming, the DC-L10.

You can check this news:

But especially the comments:
The Camera was already listed on the UK & Dutch Panasonic websites, as an mirrorless camera. Might be L-mount, might be M43.

The Camera was also mentioned at the Lumix Lab information in the phone-stores, so I expect a quick release? And with decent hardware because Lumix-Lab is supported?
This might be a smaller camera but perhaps with a viewfinder and hotshoe? The camera that @pdk42 Is asking/begging/praying/crying a long time for already?

Interesting....

Probably LX10/15 successor?
they should use there the better phase detect sensor, even the 1-inch sensor of the current smartphones like Vivo, and have a real improvement. Again crop in video and DfD would be a huge disappointment tbh.

But the LX 10/15 camera's were DMC-** typenames, not DC-**. A DC-** is always a mirrorless, and can be both L-mount or M43.

So perhaps a more advanced S9, or a smaller M43 camera. I expect it wil not have an attached lens.

In the screenshot a shuttercount is shown -> this would mean a mechanical shutter! Hopefully a step better than the S9, but smaller than de S5ii(x). And I would expect this before the summer because it would be an ideal vacation camera ;-)

In a new S9, I would rather expect an EVF with 3.6MP and not 2.3 MP.

I had to sign an NDA, therefore I could not say anything. But so far I am not blown away.

It is a very good first step for MFT, but they did not upgrade the lens. Same issue with the Leica version.

I hope that they will release a similar body but with MFT mount. And of course an S9 with EVF.

Here is Richard Wong's quick review,

This looks very attractive as a replacement for my Sony A6700.

All youtubers posted a "first impression" only. Most have been in Osaka. It seems that they really did not have much time yet with the camera.

I would be very interested to know how good the lens is. With the faster processor of the S series now in that L10, there is more power for digital corrections to achieve better image quality.

But 1.500€ is steep nowadays. Of course better than OM System prices, but the expectations at that price level are very high, if you compare it with the current Lumix S9 bundles.

For me, the deciding factor would be lens quality, because both bodies have roughly the same size. A comparison of the S9 with the 18-40 and 40/2.0 vs. Lumix L10. Which one has the better zoom? How much better is the 40mm FFL vs. the L10 zoom?

1500$ and weight 500g, m4/3 format, double crop.... S9 is clearly preferable..for me )

I understand no IBIS, only lens stabilasation ...
I know it's a photocentric camera but stil...

Look like an S100 mark III.

EVF - check!
Swivel rear screen - check!
Dual dials - nope!

But it does have an aperture ring on the lens, so I could probably cope.

The sensor has the fancy dual gain mode from the G9ii/GH7 so it will work well for landscape shooting. Overall, I think it looks nice. I might get one !

I think that's fine. Lens stabilization should work well so the end result will be the same.

The lens is decent, if it's the same as in the LX100, as Richard Wong says.

I think it's awesome. Not sure about the lens issues mentioned before since I'm not familiar with the prior PnS Panasonic's, but on paper it looks like a fantastic travel companion. I'd miss the IBIS for sure, but the mechanical shutter and flash hot shoe make it a very capable photo camera. The video features are definitely hampered by the loss of IBIS. Personally, I'd rather a g9ii at $1300 used or a gh6 at like $1k used if buying a new mft camera. If I'm traveling light, I'd prefer something truly pocketable like my pocket 3 or an action cam.

However for street shooting, travel, or just a "family camera" I think this l10 has serious perks. Plus, I can see people buying it partially just for the aesthetics
