Hello Everyone,
My name is Sankhadeep Chatterjee. I am a beginner photographer at the age of 40, from Kolkata, India. I worked as a Software developer for 10+ years but Decided to take a break from it to invest my time in something meaningful.
A few months back I bought a Lumix DMC-G85 with a 14-42mm Lens. I am going to enrol myself into an offline course in photography soon. Landscape and street photography are my favourite subjects. Previously I was using my Moto Edge Fusion 20 phone to capture the moments. I do trekking, and solo travel sometimes, so I wish to take photos along the way.

Hi, you need an L-mount camera to post here.

Just joking and welcome, it's mainly a gear forum so most of this for you as a beginner probably won't make much sense and it's about L-mount as the name suggests.

Moderator/owner Dirk has a separate M43 (your camera) which is more relevant however there is some M43 talk that ebbs in here as many owners have M43 also.

Hi Sankhadeep,

as Oiche said, we have for the different lens mounts different forums.

I use both, MFT an LMount. Many LMount users were formally MFT users, but there is still the demand for the MicroFourThirds system and advantages for the smaller MFT system. Here is a link to our MFT sister forum:
