*** December 2024 Image and Video Thread ***

_Not_ a drone photo. :) This is a view from a pedestrian bridge across a small ravine in my neighborhood.

Sorry I haven't posted much recently. Today I forced myself to go for a walk and take overly-colorful photos.

I wasn't happy with the color correction I did for a photo I previously posted (above), so I re-did it. In the new edit I removed some of the magenta cast from the tree trunks, and reduced the overall saturation of the photo. As usual, to edit the original S5iiX RAW, I used a combination of Affinity Photo, Pixelmator Pro, and Apple Preview (latest versions). Below is the new edit:

Speaking of cats ... my cat Martha today, in her favorite bed, near a warm fireplace, in the sun, with birds & squirrels within view outside. Snapped using an old Nikkor 70-210mm f4.5-5.6 manual lens on my S5iiX.

I guess we should start a December 2024 photo thread?

I realized later that I was shooting at f/8 indoors... Hahaha :D

but no problem for the S5II at ISO 6400 Daumenhoch

Finally felt well enough yesterday to go out shooting for the first time in a while. :)

Also the second chance I had to take the Pentax-M 75-150 out for a spin... not perfect by any means, but I got several photos I liked with it.
Glad to gear you are feeling better Travis.

Great photos!

You didn't fire it in the lake then? :p They actually look good. Someone has offered me the poor man's Summicron for the cost of 2 1/2 pints of Guinness... The Ricoh XR Rikenon S 50mm f/2.

I doubt I'll buy it.
