*** August 2025 Image and Video Thread ***

Wow - you can see the Alps from Les Vosges?
Yes! Le Grand Ballon is 1423m There is a big radar on top. I only wanted to share 3 images and that is what I choose :-)

You can climb the radar and there is also a sign which Alps are visible on a clear day.

As you can see we had a lot of atmospheric stuff in the air and obscuring the view.

After having the flu for a couple of days I decided that staying in bed was not the way to go, felt ok enough to go out for a day..
A few from Colmar

This last car is very very special. Only 5 of these Bugatti's are made It was at the time the most expensive car in the world, and now >€15.000.0000 worth. Special design for the Bugatti family themselves, with every thing bigger. Bigger logo, bigger engine, bigger size.

A dedicated thread is what I usually do for this kind of subject. These are great cars, you need to post more. :)

Very nice Bugatti.

Reminds me a little of a certain "twelve-cylinder, eight-litre supercharged Paragon Panther"... although this one isn't racing green. ^^;;

Another view of the lake Traunsee in Austria:

This beautiful panorama was taken from this 39 metre high observation tower:

Its shape is reminiscent of a giant salt barrel and thus honours the history and culture of the region. This is the view from the inside:

And this is the view from the top:

This is the inside of the tower if seen from the very top

Hah!

Some bits of it remind me of the Lane Motor Museum... also started as the legacy of a private collecting habit.

Although Lane had several different interests... Czech Tatra rear-engined cars, MG roadsters (the original start of the collection), microcars, and weird one-offs like the McLain Wheel. ^^;;

My daily update. Today: Château Haut-Kœnigsbourg
Unfortunately I saw a bit too late that my lens hood had moved a bit so it casted shade overall.. Think five pics were impacted. My bad...
