This was a hard one for me... turned out I'd done more than I thought this year, and ended up with 86 candidates.

Here are the three I settled on...

I normally don't shoot B&W, but this one just seemed to fit that way. First choice and it's stayed the entire way.

There were so many from the DC trip that I wanted to use. In the end, I picked this one because I love the tonality and contrast with the awesome clouds... even though I liked the framing better on one where the tip of the monument is completely framed by trees, or the one at the Lincoln Memorial with someone taking his father?'s pic with the Lincoln statue as a backdrop.

There's just so many I really really like, I just can't pick the three best. So I'm just going to pick them kind of randomly. I like this shot, not because of any technical superiority or excellence, but because it evokes such fantastic memories from a brilliant time spent with family
