Looks like it's sold now. But I'm not buying an S9 at any price, until it comes in a mark ii with an EVF !

I sold my GR3, I used it too little. I must say that a small S9 could be a fun alternative kind a thing, but the only camera I will buy in the future must have a evf/ovf. L10 actually looks nice but I’m not a fan of motorized zooms either. The only photo tool without evf will be my phone.

Part of my photoshoot in Amsterdam was to use 35 again, as I’m thinking about selling off my primes except the macro. And getting a Leica Q2 (or 3) as a 2nd camera. A 4K 100% at 60mp crop will be around 85mm. Or a X-E5 with small primes. So one camera or system small and primes and one “big” with zooms.

I'm sort of tempted by the L10 too. It ticks pretty much all the boxes for me. I'd prefer to see a second top-plate dial, but it looks like there's a nicely-placed button to easily make the single dial dual function without too much loss of usability.

I think I (and you) have to try it in the store. (Or at home and send it back). The idea of electronic zooming really bothers me. Have had the Lumix gx 14-42 power zoom. It’s nice for video kind-a but otherwise very annoying. Slow startup and not precise enough or too slow. Very compact and small though.

Maybe I just upgrade my iPhone 12 mini with latest/greatest 17 pro and use that. I sold the gr3 because although I liked it very much did not use it enough to “justify” (although no justification needed whatsoever). The Q3 actually ticks all the boxes, but have to hold one in person. And I’m afraid that the camera part dies or does not age well, and then that nice lens is stuck on to it. And the price…

I’m not n a hurry though.

I've coveted the Q3 many a time! But in the end, the price is a real impediment. I can get pretty well equivalent results with my S5 or S1rii and the Sigma 35mm iSeries - at a slight size penalty. It's for this reason that I'd snap up an S9 with an EVF! I love the form factor of the S9, but no EVF is an absolute deal breaker for me.
