I bought a used copy of this lens as it's the cheapest way to get a sharp telephoto zoom with a constant aperture on L-mount, even if you have to buy the adapter just for it. Focus is a little slow, which is to be expected, and sometimes AF is slightly off but in general it performs very well. On my Commlite EF to L adapter, and only when VC (Vibration Compensation) is on, if I even slightly move the manual focus ring it switches to manual focus and cannot be set back unless the camera is turned off and on again.
The lens is sharp wide open with good colour and contrast.
Mostly I've used this for school performances that my daughters do so those photos aren't online, so I'll post what little I have available at this point with the intention of adding to it later.
