Sigma L-mount DG (not DN) lenses with deep discounts

It looks like Sigma have decided to get rid of their stocks of the DG (but not DN designed for mirrorless) in L-mount and are selling most of them with a considerable discount, at least here in Spain. For anyone not up to speed, these lenses are essentially DSLR designs with an in-built adapter to make them L-mount and as a result they're considerably larger than equivalent lenses designed for mirrorless. They are all older optical designs but many are known to be optically superb, such as the 40mm and 135mm, and some remain unique within the L-mount lens system - there are no other 40mm or 135mm lenses, for example. The lens obviously missing is the 50/1.4, strange as that one has been replaced with a genuine designed-for-mirrorless version. The cheapest is the 35/1.4 at just €349, which is considerably less than I paid for my 35/2 a couple of years ago. For those not in Spain it might be worth checking with your local Sigma distributor to see if they also have deals on.

Here's the link for Spain:

Thanks for the heads up.

Oh, that could indicate that Sigma will finally bring out a DG DN version of these 2 lenses. Unfortunately, the 40/1.4 is an Art lens. That makes it really big and heavy. Even as a new DG DN lens.

Thanks for the heads up.

Yes, likely. I'd rather see an f/2 Contemporary I-Series.

I don't know if it's indicative of new lenses coming but I'd certainly like to see something in these focal lengths because these DG L-mount lenses are really a half-measure, though at these prices they're one I'd consider. I don't think I have the funds for any just now though.

There is also no new DN for the 28mm and 105mm.
