I used the XF90/2 on Fuji a lot. And really liked the focal range and seperation. And that was 2.0 at aps-c. If ever switching back to Fuji, that is the lens I defineyly would buy again. The launch of the new Sigma 135/1.4 made me curious. All Reviewers rave about it and show really nice photos. I never really shot seriously with a 135mm lens. But this new 135/1.4 is out of my reach.
Therefore I researched several videos about the old Sigma 135/1.8 DG HSM from 2017. According to these reviews, the new F1.4 version might be better if you enlarge in photoshop and zoom in a lot, but only at the borders of the image. Bokeh is almost the same.
So, I decided to try out the old 135/1.8 DG HSM.
There are now really bargains out there second hand for almost half of its list price (I payed 650€) and 1/3rd of the price of the new F1.4.
I hope to get mine this week-end or early next week and will post then some images made with the S1Rii.
But, the Full frame equivalent lenses are way too big / heavy to my taste. And there sadly is no smaller 135/2.8
