I’ve been on the lookout for a budget-friendly alternative to Lightroom for a while now—mainly for organizing and quickly tweaking my photos.

Today I stumbled on a great deal: ON1 Photo RAW for just €55 (lifetime license (for the 25.2 version)!). Decided to give it a shot, and honestly… I’m really impressed.
It’s super easy to use for quick edits, applying looks, and working with LUTs. It even has AI tools that recognize faces, so you can do separate adjustments to people and backgrounds—pretty slick.

Tons of useful features too, like saving your own export settings and more.

Yeah; I’ve been using On1 for several years now. I’m particularly impressed by the noise reduction feature and a few of the filters like Dynamic Contrast.

That said, the program’s not perfect; my biggest problem with it is a general lack of polish, and minor bugs. For example, when using the Crop/Rotate tool, sometimes the cropping frame will lock up and refuse to move until I cancel the crop and start again.

It’s still my preferred option out of the current set of photo editors, and absolutely worth the price; just be willing to tolerate some glitching.

Interesting! I haven’t run into any glitches myself so far — everything’s been super smooth on my end (running Windows 11).
Maybe it's system-specific? Either way, definitely impressed with what you get for the price.
