Working on getting the camera setup, question :
I a scrolling percentage amount in the bottom of the viewfinder. I'm not sure what it's for or how it got there :)

It might be the Luminance Spot Meter?

For what kind of photography? Studio?
I use it with video. When you use VLog you typically expose so that no part of the scene saturates. But if the scene has people it is still possible to overexpose them; a quick check with the spot meter tells you where you are. Yes, it would be very helpful for studio work as well.
