In this video I do a shoot for a beautiful model and a new car to test both my beloved Pentax K1 Mark 2 and my Lumix S5 ii to figure out which one is the better camera system for photography:

While I love my Pentax gear I have known since virtually the moment I got into the Lumix S system that the latter is better.

Where Pentax is better is in ergonomics and control layouts as well as making small, atypical lenses.

I've long wished Pentax would join the L-Mount Alliance. Drop the quixotic attachment to SLRs and bring their positive attributes to a mirrorless body: great ergonomics, green button, TAv mode, weather resistance, built-in GPS and Astrotracer, etc. But at this point I think the only way to do it is join a lens mount group so there's immediately a lens library and the body isn't DoA. Make an L-to-K mount adapter.

I agree entirely. They could start with some unique lenses - Limiteds for mirrorless! Then add cameras later on - imagine L-mount cameras with Pentax's superior ergonomics and build quality.
