*** October 2026 Image and Video Thread ***

I returned my decentered 7Artisans 9mm f5.6 and choose their new 10mm f2.5 autofocus fisheye lens instead.
The image below is not defished. The build quality and the image quality are very good.

Wait - there's an AF fisheye!!! Does it also communicate EXIF info (lens name, focal length, f-stop)?

Really super image BTW!

Yes, autofocus works great and Exif data is saved in the file

Hmm - maybe time to swap out my TTArtisan 11mm.
I never tried the TTArtisan, but your pictures looked very good to me. If autofocus is something you want than go for the 7Artisans. I can’t recommend it enough.

I do 98-99% of my shooting manual anyway, so the autofocus isn’t that big a deal to me. I’d be interested in how the IQ compares to the TTArtisans, but I’ve honestly been very happy with it. The wider aperture, tho, that might be a draw. ^^;;

Have been messing around with the TTArtisan 17mm T/S.

I was attempting to use the tilt mechanism to make the focal plane parallel with the leaf while hand-holding the camera, but wasn't completely successful . It's tricky to do with the TTArtisan, since operating the tilt with any degree of precision requires two hands on the lens. Certainly more of a tripod lens, although I suspect that's pretty common usage pattern with a T/S anyway - at least for tilt.

This was wide-open at F4.

At yesterday's "No Kings" honk-and-wave protest in the small, wealthy, conservative, town of Lake Oswego, Oregon ...

(I like the "End Project 1933" sign.)

(I modified the crosswalk countdown sign.) :)

Great to see the NK shots! I used to live in Lake O, so I really appreciate seeing the fine folks in that town turn out.

Panasonic DC-S1M2ES+ LUMIX S 40/F2 @ ƒ/8.0 - 40.0 mm - 1/25 - ISO 100

The next one was taken with the Lumix S1IIE and the "in camera focus staking" feature. 6 pictures taken using the Lumix 100mm F/2.8 Macro of a moth that was as big a a small bird. It was really impressive. I'm not sure if it's a Convolvulus Hawk-Moth, but it was about 5-7cm long, and it was here in Austria, resting peacefully in silence on our balcony.
