An Anna’s Hummingbird on the Japanese maple outside my home office window this morning. These little birds are at our feeders year-round, and this one especially likes sitting on this particular branch. Snapped using my ancient Nikkor manual 70-210mm f4.5-5.6 lens at 210mm, f8, through double pane glass, window screen, and drizzly mist. Stay cozy. Cheers.

I'd been seeing this building along Main Street for... well, decades, really, but not paying much attention beyond 'hey, old building, kinda like the style.'

And now it's about to die.

It's not too hard to see why. It was put on the city's "Dangerous Buildings" list back in August.

But even so, there's a grandeur in the stonework that you don't see all that often in modern buildings.

I could have wished for better shooting weather, but at least the rain delayed the demolition long enough for me to stop by. And it's somehow fitting.

The little TTArtisan 11mm is quite cheap and delivers pretty good IQ. Just go get one!!
