News New Sirui lenses - 15mm, 20mm, 24mm & 40mm

[Jonathan-Mac]

Apparently new Sirui lenses are on the way. 15mm f/1.6 and 24mm f/1.4 Aurora high-end and a new "Swift" line for the 20mm f/2.4 and 40mm f/2.2. The Swift lenses sound like they will be lower-end than Aurora but without going the bargain-basement route of stripping all controls that we've seen on some recent releases from other companies.

The Swift lenses are the ones that would most interest me as they will be more compact and presumably cheaper.

Yes, we have suddenly 3 small 20mm (Lumix, Viltrox, Sirui) and 3 small 40mm (Lumix Viltrox Sirui) lenses:

Sirui baut Vollformat-Lineup aus: Vier neue AF-Objektive in den Startlöchern

Sirui bereitet gleich vier neue Vollformat-Objektive mit Autofokus vor. Zwei davon erweitern die Aurora-Serie, zwei starten die neue Swift-Reihe für kompakte Festbrennweiten.

Yup, like buses - you wait for ages and then three come along at once. I already have a 40mm but am strongly considering the new Viltrox 20/2.8 though now I will at least wait for more info and reviews on the Sirui.
