Blazar just revealed their new Beetle 45mm T3.2 1.33x anamorphic lens at NAB 2025, and it’s coming in L-mount. It’s small, lightweight, and built with photographers in mind. One neat feature is that you can rotate the lens 90 degrees to switch between horizontal and vertical shooting, and the anamorphic flares stay aligned properly. The aperture is fixed at T3.2, so no adjustments there. It’s expected to cost about $500 and should be available in August.

Like the AF lens, they use the barrel distortion as an advantage

With 1.5x and the 3:2 aspect ratio sensor you get the "standard" wide screen cinema aspect ratio, which I look for. 1.33x falls short of this.
