Good job Pete. I think I mentioned in a much earlier post that I've never made it to Tasmania, so I'm depending on you for photos. And congratulations to your son and bride.
Thanks Charles! The wedding was great, a wonderful day for family and friends. I'm hoping to get out for some more photos in the next few days, if it fits in with family responsibilities.

I've only been to Tasmania once, and all too briefly. Wonderful place. Congrats to the bride & groom! :)
Thanks Peter! It is indeed a wonderful place.

Another photo of the Tasman Bridge in Hobart.

We discovered that the colour lighting on the bridge changes each night on a schedule with anyone being able to apply for a charitable cause or event.

This one was taken in shutter priority mode.

Yesterday we visited the national museum of aviation in Lelystad. Lot's about KLM and Fokker of course.

Cockpit of quite a unique KLM Boeing 747, which was divided 60:40 passenger and cargo. Quite fun, I took a 747-800 from São Paulo to Frankfurt in 2023. Lufthansa is the only airline who still uses a few of these. 747-800ER is much more efficient end modern plane then this 747 in the museum of course. But still quite funny :-)

I had a free afternoon on our last day in Hobart today, so I took a walk around the port.

These catamarans belong to the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) In Hobart and take visitors up the river to the museum.

Motorworld Village Metzingen 2026
Last Sunday, the city hosted a classic and rare car exhibition with many fascinating vehicles on display. Unfortunately, I arrived a bit late because of other commitments, but I still managed to capture some truly special cars. A few of them were especially unique. One of the highlights was the legendary Chevrolet Monte Carlo — the actual car featured in the movie Training Day starring Denzel Washington.

For me, it's the 79 monte Carlo. Ever since seeing Training Day as a kid, I've loved those old Monte Carlos. They "casted" that car very well for the movie.
I saw that car a lot when I was growing up… I had a paper route when I was in Jr. High School in the early 80s, and there were several of them along the route; it was fairly common in the Kansas City metro.

I liked the first ‘downsized’ version best; the Third generation (1978-1980). It always felt like the ‘tidiest’, compact and without any wasted metal, while the others sprawled to one degree or another.
