Someone has to start the new month off...

This statue was erected in one of the local parks, earlier this past autumn. I happened to drive past it shortly after it went up and it's haunted me ever since. I finally took the S5 for a spin tonight, now that the weather is getting better (for certain Midwestern values of the word "better," of course).

Finally weather is getting better. Just 8 celcius, but with a nice sun it doesn't bother me. Had the 24-105 also with me, but decided to give the S35/1.8 some tlc My daughter was also with me, and then the smaller dof is always nice. Sometimes this one can also have a quite busy bokeh wide open. But still ok to my eye.

I borrowed the Sony A7CR from my brother and last saturday I had time to try it out next to the S5II. I used the excellent Sigma 24-70 f2.8 ii with the Sony and the Lumix 14-28mm with the S5II. Both at 24mm. The sun is a bit too much in the corner, I know... I used auto withe balance for both...

... and I noticed that the Sony files are more bluish in general. But I wish that Lumix gives us a version of the Sony A7CR, please, please, Lumix a S9 with grip, mechanical shutter, 61mpx, etc.

By the way, what a great Lens is the Lumix 14-28mm!!
