I have made a brief comparison between the Lumix S5IIx (€2,500 new) and the Nikon Z6III (€3,000 new):
Please, if there is any error or missing any relevant information, do not hesitate to correct it.
Advantages of the Z6iii for photography:
- Semi-stacked sensor: Better rolling shutter control
- Best electronic viewfinder on the market
- Faster focus, almost as agood as the Z8/Z9 autofocus
- Auto-capture mode
- Higher fps mechanical shutter (14fps, the Lumix S5II/X has 9fps)
- Up to 120fps electronic shutter (JPEG, 10mpx files)
- Better buffer performance (unlimited?) with the electronic shutter and raw photos at 14 bit (Panasonic up to 200 raw frames)
Advantages of the Panasonic Lumix S5IIx for photography:
- Pre-burst raw (Z6III pre-burst JPEG)
- High resolution 96mpx shooting by hand or without a tripod
- Better timelapse implementation
- 779 focus points (vs. 299 for the Z6iii)
- Live view composite
- More fps electronic shutter (30fps, the Z6iii has 20fps)
- Best IBIS on the market
- Cloud storage via WiFi (frame.io)
- LUTs: real time, library + sharing community
- "Lumix Lab app" for creating and downloading LUTs
