Lumix S 26mm f8 bodycap lens

I can't go back & edit my post now, but I didn't elaborate exactly/properly on how I use the enlarged focus box. I don't even really look closely at it, set whatever focus peaking colour you desire, as long as you can see whatever focus peaking colour you have set showing in the focus box area, you're good to go. Frame your shot, as long as you see the peaking colour in the enlarged PIP box, press shutter, done. It makes it extraordinarily quick and easy to MF that way.
 
Right, this is what the jpegs look like out of my S5 with the 26mm f8 lens. Absolutely zero processing, only reduced in size to satisfy forum requirements.
For reference, these are the Photo style settings I have set on my camera.
Photo style standard, -2 contrast, -2 highlights, +1 shadows, +4.5 saturation, 0 Hue, -0.5 sharpness, +1 noise reduction.
You can compare them with the processed raw files I posted above, or previous page anyway

Like I wrote, PP'ing is very very minor, I think the images the 26mm produces are very very good. If I had to knock it for something, about the only thing I can see is that it does produce a bit of barrel distortion. Which I can tolerate, given the size :)
 
And this is what an extremely lightly modded OOC jpeg looks like. All I've down is pulled the highlights down a fraction, bumped the shadows, absolutely zero sharpening added, -I've got the in camera sharpening actually dialed back a bit, and resized. The lens, and camera, is an absolute pleasure to shoot with, it makes things just so easy and effortless

Well, the 26mm f/8 manual lens arrived today. It was not a fake offer. I paid 122€ (the official price in Europe is 240€). Actually it arrived 3 weeks later, which is a typical behaviour of "grey market" business companies.

But, everything is fine: packaging and condition of the lens. I paired it with the S1R:

It is very light and is very easy to focus, specially with focus peaking and the wonderful EVF of the S1R.

Wow. Crazy price. I have no idea how this could be real! Congratulations! What a deal!
But even for "grey market" this is very very low. In Germany the tax is 19% and if this is a German seller the guy has to give you 2 years of warranty.

Who do you think understands the market better?

Yes, it's unfortunate that most of their reviews are based on personal context rather than being fair and balanced. Another great example is that they think the Fuji XM5 is almost perfect and the S9 is baffling and a missed opportunity. The lack of an EVF was a big deal for them on the S9 but seemingly not so important on the XM5.
