Lumix 28-200

I saw this video yesterday comparing the Lumix 28-200mm vs the Lumix 24-105mm, and his results seem to be interesting. The 28-200mm is not bad at all:
That man has the most soothing beautiful voice :p , he sounds like the famous whispering Bob Harris (UK TV/Radio) and it reminds me how a significant amount of YouTubers have horrible broadcasting voices, especially when non-native English can really be unwatchable, saying this many native speakers equally as bad. I'm quite sensitive in general to voices though outside media.

This guy could sooth you into buying this 28-200 without you even realising it, even Paul might buy it again if he watched this video. Z04 Kaputtlachen

Yeah I also saw this video, and I really like the 28-200mm.

But I would not use the 28-200mm as a 'only' lens. You have to have others lenses to fix the 'downsides' of this lens, the lowlights performance and the lack of wide angle.

But when you already have the 20-60mm, this would be a good second.

In my case the 16-28 is good for the wide angle and low light, perhaps with a prime like the 35mm of 50mm. So i have this covered
I totally agree that 28-200 is not suitable for indoors. However, combined with some primes (and maybe 20-60) as well as an ultra wide lens, you will very light set for wide range. I have 14-28+28-200+50/1.8 (+20-60 and 105 macro). I sold my 70-300 as it was too heavy/big to be useful.

I have more or less the same: 16-28mm F2.8, 35/50/85mm F1.8, 20-60mm and the 28-200mm

One thing I like is that I can now use my Event Messenger 100 with any of my Lumix lenses. It is just enough for body with attached lens.

I'm still not fully decided on 28-200. Actually was hoping the price of the 24-105 on secondhand market were going to come down but that doesn’t seem to be happening.

I don't see why it would. They're quite different lenses.

I'm still dithering over my way forward. Want the length, worried about the doubters.

Received mine NIB this morning and initial testing appears like I have a very good copy.
For the very reasonable price that I paid I'm very pleased, and I'm sure this will be a perfect mate to my S 14-28.

An awesome 2-lens kit!
