It is in Finland (Tampere). Actually it is an old pulp mill which now has tram tracks going through the mill area.Hi jomppak: Where is this railroad station located?
Why waited so l longI finally broke down and got the 28-200mm, and am really looking forward to using it. Hope I got a good copy; my first test shots look good.
Thanks so much, Pete! I'm not used to shooting at such high ISO settings, and when I first processed them I had issues downloading the DXO profiles so I just used normal sharpening and clarity when importing into capture one. I may go back and play with settings a little more and see if using the lens profiles help for 1:1 viewingThe photos all look acceptably sharp to me, Tim! Really nice light.
In our church I also use the 28-200 sometimes, although I try to handle it with one with my primes or the 20-60.Thanks so much, Pete! Hmm did you have issues with banding or was it something else?In our church I also use the 28-200 sometimes, although I try to handle it with one with my primes or the 20-60.
However, I did have some problems with the electronic shutter (for not disturbing the congregation) and low light.
Actually I only see it in the shots made with my 50mm or 85mm primes... So It looks I'm mistaken in this. Here an example of the banding problems
(Using "SynchroScan" at max. 1/120s I got rid of banding - check it out...)
Some butterfly crops made by S9+28-200 ...
Only in certain - not every - artificial light.Does the banding issue you're discussing sometimes happen in natural daylight AND in certain artificial light?
Cool. I was confused by your comment being in the same post with daylight photos of butterflies. Thanks for clarifying. Cheers!Only in certain - not every - artificial light.
It's not a lens that I need (I love my 24-105 and 70-300 lenses) but I have seen some really good photos taken with the 28-200mm lens. I guess if you do a little cropping you can remove some of those soft edges at the long end.Might need to reconsider my views on this lens !!
