Yes, it was a gorgeous evening. Weather/temperature was perfect. I've shot fireworks once (but than with video):On Saturday evening we went to see a fireworks show to celebrate the Chinese new year. I shot exclusively with the Sigma 24mm f/2 wide open, hand held at 1/4s, which was mostly enough to get shots without camera shake.

Its incredible how the Lumix camera's can film this without noise (if you know what to do, link starts at the beginning of the fireworks):
I shot this video just in the second base-ISO (4000 ISO), in V-log.I think I had noise reduction at +3 or +4 and reduced the exposure of the shadows in post, both of which will have reduced noise.
