jpg SOOC. This one really resonated with me for some reason.
Snowscapes are super fun to shoot. This one just seemed like the embodiment of this year for me. Two birds, sitting watching the smoke stacks in the dreary wet snow on the last evening of a long and arduous year.I too like the snow pics as it adds atmosphere- literally and figuratively.
Our friends from Santa Monica that moved to Colorado, just north of you - she says it is very pretty but she is really cold all the time. The husband scoffs at this. Hopefully spring comes early. The sun sets on 2025 in Colorado. Happy new year, everyone.
Super shot. It reminds me of my first visit to the US back in 1984. I went to Beaverton and I remember seeing Mount Hood from the hotel where I stayed. I found it amazing that it was 50 miles away and yet still huge!New Year's Eve 2025. Mt Hood, 50 miles to the east of Portland, Oregon, with the Willamette River in the foreground.

Happy New Year!
Yeah, it can get very cold here. But not this year - we’ve had record setting warmth (a few days in the low 70s in December) and almost no precipitation. Our friends from Santa Monica that moved to Colorado, just north of you - she says it is very pretty but she is really cold all the time. Happy New Year all.
