Just one more train for today, from yesterday's shoot.

This is a diesel rail car set (just two carriages) waiting at Moss Vale station for the run back to the city.

A couple of houses in my SW Portland, Oregon neighborhood. We have quite a variety of homes here, ranging from barely-standing sheds, to "McMansions". Moss-covered roofs aren't uncommon, but log cabins are. (For those unfamiliar with the term "McMansions", see: https://mcmansionhell.com/).

Note: In the upper-left corner of the log cabin photo, the metal railing & flower pots belong to a huge ultra-modern modern home in the background. On many streets here, every other house is in a completely architectural style. I like the variety.

Some for Pete_W ;) From Kawakawa NZ. I'm led to believe the only town in NZ where the train runs down the middle of the main street, sharing with cars.

They've restored this bridge, last time we were here the train wasn't running across it

Pete_W i did one for you. The golden one:View attachment 8125

Thanks Johnny! That's an awesome photo! And what a great locomotive. I checked out the info online about it. Siemens are well ahead in terms of technology. I would love to see them out here in Australia.

Can I ask which railway station this photo was taken?

Thanks Markus! That looks absolutely awesome!

I am going to have to visit NZ and take a ride on this train. I love that passengers can be in an open top carriage! The safety "experts" here in NSW would veto that immediately!! It looks like so much fun and such beautiful countryside. Daumenhoch Smilie

This is another angle of a train I posted previously, but in portrait mode and cropped.

Tunnel is currently undergoing restoration, they reckon about a year & the tunnel will be usable. Then another year to get right through to Opua, as the line from the tunnel on also needs a bit of work.

It's a picturesque little trip for sure

Sure, it is in Hamburg main Station, Germany. I know nothing about locomotives, but it is the carrier of one of my favourite train connections from Hamburg, the EuroCity(EC) to Prague or Budapest.

Three kayakers alongside Ross Island on the Willamette River, about a mile south of downtown Portland, Oregon. (A crop of a 96MP RAW image.)

(Another attempt to post the railroad track photo here, so it displays a preview.)
