Nice idea. I like it!

This has been my car for the last 2years. Now that I change jobs,I had to let my company car go. These where taken just minutes before the student driver picked the car up to bring the car to a soon to-be ex-collegue of mine who will use the car for the last 2 years of the lease term. Really liked the proceed, 160bhp and fun to drive, all bells and whistles. It has been replaced with a 184 bhp Toyota Corolla Station, also full-spec :) Maybe there will be some nice weather in the near future for a photoshoot.s

I'll have to do car stuff, I was lucky to get another year MOT on my Citroen C5 as the steering rack is leaking, a replacement is maybe 2k and not worth it. All because of 2x o-rings and corroding pinion shaft... Just poor engineering. Otherwise car is good and could probably do 300k mikes looked after.

An under-engine wash did it for £7 but there was other stuff, suspension bushes and driveshaft gaiter.

Would have been crazy to scrap this car. Only put about 800ml power steering fluid into it in 3 years. Old Toyotas can go through 1L/200km engine oil.

Sorry too much car stuff

I went for a short hike today in nearby Marshall Park and snapped 2 versions of the same view:

Prefer the 1/500th version, longer exposure on rivers needs longer than 1/10th as it looks irky at that speed. 0.5sec maybe possible with 20-60, 24_105 is good for 1 sec if steady. Not at 105...

I as well.
One of the interesting things about blurry water is that there is no universal rule for the SS that will look good. Sometimes, a longer exposure is better, but not always. Sometimes a shorter, hand-held SS gives a more interesting texture.
Yup. And in this case, definitely the second.

Been busy lately. Been taking photographs, but I don't think people would find the subject matter very interesting. At all. Anyway, got out last night, ended up doing more talking than photographing :) A couple of shots

Love the car photos!

I thoroughly enjoy wandering around taking them. Been missing a few events, busy doing renovations, keeping the little lady of the house happy. Had to get a new range hood in and finished before I head off to NZ tomorrow. Made it :) Might even get out again tonight

I've been keeping my eye out for car events around where I live but have been too darn busy the past few months to get out. Hopefully soon.

It's a crazy time of year, isn't it. We're hosting a Christmas lunch for my wife's family tomorrow so I've been flat out getting the house and yard ready etc. Looking forward to slowing down after that.

Have a safe trip to NZ!

Have a great time in NZ! Where in NZ will you visit?

Visiting family in Northland, Kerikeri area, then down to the Bay of Plenty, Tauranga, Katikati, Rotorua areas. Pretty flexible with plans, we'll just see what happens. Sitting in the airport right now, flying is a painful way to travel as far as all the sitting around goes, hopefully we're in the air in the next 15 minutes. Doesn't look too hopeful though

Ha ha. Yeah, I had to duck down to the local shopping area yesterday to get some storage boxes to tidy up inside a bit while renovating, it was mad. Had to park in the open/vacant paddocks up from the shopping centre, not a park to be found. Couldn't be bothered with driving to the airport, booked the airport shuttle bus and just sat back and relaxed for an hour and a half while the driver dealt with the traffic lol. Flights now been delayed, hopefully not too long as it's an international stopover that we caught the last leg of.
