Howdy, all. Longtime Pentax user, 645Z and K1mkII. Now a new Leica SL3 owner. Only have 1 lens so far, the Sigma 45. Looking around for other lenses. Will be unloading my K1mkII soon and several of its lenses, some others I will adapt to the Leica. Keeping the Z and a good collection of 645 lenses that I can also adapt with a shift adapter. My pro work is fine arts repro and technical documentation for various clients this past decade, mostly for the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden and another support unit of the Smithsonian. My personal work is art and architecture related with some art landscape---artist first and photographer distant second.

Greetings! Glad to see you, and your photography sounds interesting. :)

What lenses do you have for your K-1? I admit some of my favorite digital-era K-mount lenses (like the 20 Limited) weren't very suitable for adapting - really anything Pentax-F generation or later - but I like some of my older -A and -M lenses quite a lot, the M 50/1.4 in particular.

I've been tempted by 645 manual lenses I've seen at estate sales, but they were always priced too high for me to consider.

For my K1mkII (board replacement upgrade) I have the following: 100 f2.8 AW macro, 77 FA Limited f1.8, 50 f2.8 macro, A 50 f1.4, 35 FA f2 AL, 31 FA Limited f1.8, 28 f3.5 shift, Irix 11 f4 Blackstone, DFA 28-105 f3.5-5.6, DFA 24-70 f2.8, DFA 15-30 f2.8.

I have a whole different set for the 645, another 11 primes and 4 zooms. I have the 645 to K mount adapter, so I can use all of these on the K1mkII. Now I'll have adapters to use these and a select group of the K mount lenses on the Leica.

Cool. :) The main one I'm familiar with is the A 50; I would have been interested in the two Limiteds, but never got around to them. Mostly used film-era lenses on my K-series; the Pentax-F was a favorite of mine.

Good luck; looking forward to seeing how they do!
