Yes - the last one is the eclipse close to it’s maximum. Only the very top is lit by the sun - the rest is in earth’s shadow. Which, interestingly enough, is why it’s red - that part of the moon is lit by light rays that pass through earth’s atmosphere, which scatters red & violet wavelengths but passes red and orange. And those wavelengths are refracted or bent as they pass through the atmosphere, which is why they reach the moon even though it is in earth’s shadow.

Y’all may already know all that, but somebody asked me that question - why is it red? - when I was photographing it, and I didn’t have the full answer right then & there. So now I do. :)

Some very nice pics!

Here in Kansas City, we started getting some wispy clouds coming across as totality approached. ;_; The coverage wasn’t quite enough to take the moon to full red, so it ended up orange.

Still sorting through the pics to see what’s salvageable. ^^;;

Your photos are exactly the photos I wanted to take on the night of the eclipse, but unfortunately that night there were clouds, so this is the only photo I could take at a time when the sky cleared a little:

It was taken with the S1RII and the Sigma 100-400mm + Sigma TC-1411, also 560mm but using the Hybrid zoom, that means 784mm, but it was very foggy sky, it tried to dehaze in LR a bit... It is not as sharp as I expected...

In Austria the maximum of the eclipse was almost on the horizon and it was at 6:13 in the morning, also the sun rose a little later, so it was already the blue hour. My idea was to capture the orange moon on the blue sky, but no luck. I'm glad that at least some of you were able to capture the eclipse photographically and share the photos here.
 
Yeah, we had some clouds as well, as you can see in some of my images.

Below is an interesting image - there was a light band of clouds that covered a horizontal stripe just below the bright top, but not the lower half. This gave that interesting band of purple-blue between the white top & red bottom. I wish I had chosen a lower ISO, so the top wouldn’t have been blown out, but it’s still pretty interesting.
